Did you know that Europe’s energy and climate targets rely heavily on critical raw materials such as Rare Earths (REE)? Today, Europe is almost 100% dependent on REE imports and has no market-ready substitutes.

In May 2022, a prestigious European project was launched to develop an industrial-scale REE recovery system at a competitive cost compared to the original REE production in China. The project consortium consists of 15 partners from 8 EU countries. These entities represent both industry and science.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗞𝗨𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝘀𝗸𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗘 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 .

The main tasks of the company within this project include the supplying a batch of ferrous fraction of shredded HDDs and co-development of the process to separate Nd-based material from shredded components. The developed technology will be used in the production of our devices for destroying hard drives (ProDevice HDDs shredders), which we sell all over the world.
